Guatemala Update

Friends, as most of you know I have been preparing to serve in Guatemala for the month of July for quite some time. The time has come and I find myself sitting in a café in Chichicastenego, Guatemala. I am surrounded by new friends that are becoming family. God has already done incredible things within our team and in this town.
Our host, Juan (and his family), are incredible humans. They seek Christ with their whole hearts. They truly are world changers. God will continue to use them well past this month.
In the short time I have been here, I have learned much about myself, leading, and following after God’s own heart. Life is tough, but we serve a God who is greater. Jesus always, always wins.
It is with a heavy heart that I must say that due to a medical condition I am leaving Guatemala as soon as possible. I am heartbroken to be leaving my team and the ministry we have joined, but I know this is God’s will for my life. I don’t know why at this point, but I do know that it is best for me. I ask that you kindly respect my privacy as I go and recover.
Please continue to pray for the team I am leaving. Please specifically pray for the two other leaders who are still with the team.  Please also continue to pray for Juan and his family.

With all the love

Kourt
