Always Write in Pencil--Peru Update May 2017

I hate writing in pen. It is so final. If something changes, it is always messy going back to change it. That is why I prefer to write in pencil. When it comes to life...well, just let God do the writing.

As most everyone knows, this summer I am leading a one-month missions trip with adventures in missions. My departure day is June 29th. Up until this point, I thought that God was sending me to Peru. I have planned for Peru, prayed for Peru, and asked for all of you to pray for Peru as well.

Today God threw me a curveball.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will no longer be going to Peru.  However, I will still be leading a missions trip this summer.

The leaders at adventures have been praying and talked to me about leading a different team. This team is larger and will form a squad which will break up into three smaller teams of about 10 (so about 30 total people.) Each team will have a leader and the teams will join for ministry during the day.

While I am a little bummed about Peru, I am absolutely ecstatic about this new opportunity and feel at peace with where God is leading. So, where is God leading you ask???

This summer I will be serving in Guatemala!!!!

With that being said, for those of you wondering, all of the logistics are the same. I launch June 29th and come home August 3rd which is the same. I also still am 100% funded (praises!!!)

Thank you all for going on this journey with me. As I get more information I will share it!

With love,
Kourt
